There is nothing more beautiful and exciting as the FALL in the Mountains of North Carolina. It's corn shucks, pumpkins, fantastic colors, cooler temperatures and smiling people! Don't forget good old apple pie and homemade fudge accented with a little taste of moonshine!
Everyone visiting seems up and ready for each days adventure, whether you plan to ride the Parkway, visit Cherokee or take a Gray Line Trolley Tour in Asheville, you will have the time of your life.
The air is clean and fresh with the scents of Fall and the country food from Fried Chicken to Collard Green, BBQ to Baked Beans, Country Biscuits to Corn Bread, you have died and gone to heaven! (Please don't forget the blackeyed peas!)
Believe me, you can forget the diet when you come to the Mountains. It is hard enough to pass a Hardee's where they sell the best Country Ham Biscuit.
So, what can I say? Just get in your car and come on down and join the rest of the world enjoying the Master at work painting a canvas in living color for all the world to see. Bring your camera, you will need it!
Get ready, here comes the mountain colors once again! The higher elevations are expected to show color around the second weekend of October 9, 10, 11 with the best viewing for full color around the third weekend of October 16, 17, 18 and the fourth weekend of October 23, 24, 25.
It's that time again!
