The MONTFORD PLAYERS under the leadership and direction of John Russell brings the longest running Shakespeare Festival to the city absolutely FREE! It's SHAKESPEARE IN THE PARK! Located in the Montford district near downtown Asheville at 92 Gay Street, you will find a wonderful Amphitheatre where theatre lovers gather for an evening of outdoor entertainment during those perfect Summer nights!
From Concessions to "bringing your personal picnic baskets" (and wine!) you can enjoy a date, family outing or group fun. Bring you chairs, have center seats and even bring out the candles for atmosphere and dining experience!
