Historic Destinations, Entertainment and Travel!

It all started in Blowing Rock,

North Carolina!

You can take the chair lift up to Miner's Mountain and pan for gold or hang in the village and shake hands with cowboys and visit the theatre and enjoy  the Can Can Girls.  Something exciting is always happening throughout the day.

Under the direction of the Robbins Family (Chris and Cathy)as on site owners, aided by a wonderful staff, this Wild West Theme Park captures entertainment and spreads it around in many directions.  They have rides for all ages starting with Engine Number 12, known worldwide as TWEETSIE and Engine Number 190, known as Yukon Queen.  WELL,  that should be enough, but not at TWEETSIE!  Try the Carousel, Ferris Wheel, Boats and Planes, Free Fall, Tilt-A-Whirl and the Mouse Mine Train, Live Entertainment, Places to Eat, and so much more.  This park is a place for all ages!  You don't have to be young to enjoy this park and let it give you a sparkle in your eye!

"Once Upon A Time" or "Not So Many Years Ago" (Sixty to be exact!) a dream was developed in the mountains of North Carolina that created a tradition of "quality entertainment for the entire family."  That position and title has never changed and today, this "spotless" North Carolina adventure still ranks as one of the best in the entire Southeast.  Now how do I know that?  Well, I was there over the years and recently returned and what made it famous still exists; i.e., "a child's face with an amazing smile!"  In today's world that is a treasure!

One of the most enjoyable aspects of the park is the Deer Park Zoo.  It is an easy stroll and you are right in the heart of all the critters.  You can feed them for a small fee and also be close enough to touch them,  Just about every type of farm animal and more can be seen and enjoyed.

Stop the Show!!!  There is a real CANDY MAN at Tweetsie!  His name is Ryan Payne and he along with his helpers create and make some of the best candy this side of Heaven!  Believe me, the fudge is without a doubt some of the best in the Southeast.  When Ryan created the Pumpkin Truffle, he created an award winner.  You must go to Tweetsie before they close for the season at the end of October and purchase this candy.  If not, call and order some!

Remember Tweetsie Railroad, The Wild West Theme Park Adventure opens each April and runs through October.  There are many special events happening throughout the season, but the one that will give you the best scare for Halloween is now going on each weekend.  It is the TWEETSIE RAILROAD GHOST TRAIN and Ghoulish Villages!   This is a great family adventure and should not be missed.  It is thrilling, spooky and will give you chills!  Have fun!  Be sure to take a friend with you!

Did I have fun?  Thanks, Cathy!

On its 200 acre property, TWEETSIE has not one, but up to three villages to visit and each is unique with just about everything you can imagine!
