What would Montford Park Players do without the talents of the Managing Director?
JOHN RUSSELL is truly a leader who is highly respected for the work he does by promoting Talent, Shakespeare and Asheville. Frankly, when John stands in front of his audience to welcome you to the theatre, he truly means it! He is a class act and a gentleman!

MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING revolves around obstacles to the union of two young lovers. Claudio falls in love with Hero,
Leonato's daughter. Then Don Pedro agrees to woe Hero for Claudio at a reception that evening . Don John, Pedro's bastard brother, plots with his two men, Borachio and Conrade to do some wickedness.with a sub plot of the "merry war" of the sexes between Beatrice and Benedick. It the good versus the bad, with hysteria along the way. It is so much fun and the actions of each character will keep you riveted with the plot twists!
MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING is not a small cast. It takes many people on the stage performing and a tremendous crew to keep Shakespeare alive. This production will not disappoint you, as it is light and keeps your interest throughout the evening. Most Shakespeare productions are dark, but this one is funny with eccentric characters and staged beautifully. It all about love, sexual innuendos, dancing, audience participation and so much more. Careful, if you are sitting on the front row, a character may come up to you and ask for a glass of your wine! Even Shakespeare is no fool!
